Do I have to attend the webinars at a specific time for online courses?
No -- all webinars are prerecorded to allow you to view them at a time and place that is convenient for you.
What is included in the cost of a workshop or online course?
You will receive print resources, books, a DVD linked to the workshop topic, presentations, and personal response from the instructor. If you are not already a member of Choice Literacy, you will also receive a trial membership.
How long will I have access to the webinars?
You will receive links to the webinars a couple of days before the course begins, and you will also be able to review the webinars and all course materials for two weeks after the end of the course.
Will I be able to ask questions of the instructor?
Yes -- it's one of the best features of our online courses! You can ask questions at any time on the course discussion board, and the instructor will also respond personally to the required writing you complete for the course.
Are courses and workshops available for graduate credit?
We do not offer college credit for our courses, but we do issue certificates of attendance listing contact hours. Two-day workshops and online courses receive certificates listing 15 contact hours.
Are there any software requirements for online courses?
No software is required for viewing webinars. You will be able to test your computer to ensure you can view the webinars before the course begins, and we have tech support if any issues arise.
